Julia Bahdanava

Julia Bahdanava is a consultant and trainer of the Data Privacy Office team since 2020.

Julia has a legal background (graduated from the BSU Faculty of Law, specialising in economic law), graduated from the BSU Lyceum. She attended the Tallinn University of Technology summer school on Secure e-Governance programme. In 2021 participated in Strategic Privacy by Design Training by R. Jason Cronk. In 2022 Julia received CIPP/E certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

She holds GDPR DPP, GDPR DPM certificates from the Data Privacy Office. Currently she is the second trainer of the GDPR Data Privacy Professional course.

Julia has more than 15 completed GDPR implementation projects under her belt, ranging from small startups to international companies. Julia conducts product and process audits to identify privacy violations, works with creating and updating registers of processing activities, visualising data flows, vendor management, handling cross-border transfers, creating external privacy policies and and internal data processing guidelines, privacy risk management (DPIA) and implementing Privacy by Design.
