The course provides a well-structured introduction to the governance and compliance aspects of implementing AI projects in line with the EU AI Act. I particularly appreciated the interactions with participants who brought a diverse set of skills in technology governance, privacy, and compliance.
The topic that stood out the most to me was AI risk assessments. The course offered structured and prescriptive guidance on risk assessment, impact assessments, and conformity assessments workflows, along with their applicability.
Given that this is an emerging topic, the structure of the course was very helpful in providing a broad overview of regulations, risks, and overlaps with product legislation and privacy laws.
The most comfortable learning formats for me were case studies and group discussions. I especially appreciate how the instructors, Petruta and Denis, approached the complex and evolving topic of AI compliance. They structured the course in a way that was intuitive and accessible for participants from diverse disciplines, including technology, legal, and privacy backgrounds. Through case studies and group discussions, they successfully brought together the varied perspectives of the participants, creating a holistic 360-degree view of the subject.
Given the evolving nature of AI compliance, I found it especially valuable that the instructors focused on the right approach rather than simply providing the “right” answer.
